Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Partner, you'll function in a team environment, reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader with direct responsibilities to the Production Team Leader and Team. integrates several process techniques focused on achieving high levels of overall process effectiveness (TPO)- Applies fundamental understanding of team in development and active participation in a team environment through Division and Plant team orientation, safety and quality training, and Level I Team skills- Operates the following equipmentELECTRICAL Operates meters and testing equipment, programmers, and soldering tools (e.g., voltmeters, amp meters, micrometers, meggers, programmers, test instrumentation, dial indicators)ELECTRONICS Operates computers (desktop programs) and appropriate tools; adjusts set points and machine controls (e.g., digital volt ohmmeter, handheld amp probe and held voltage tester, logic probes, CRT equipment)HYDRAULIC Operates / sets up hydraulic pumps and 3-way piloted and 4-way valve systemsMECHANICAL Operates shop equipment (e.g., grinders, drills, saws, threaders, lathe, mill); starts up processing equipment, building equipment, and refrigeration systemsWELDING Sets pressures on oxyacetylene equipment, arc welder, carbon arc welder, electrode welder, and tig welderRepair & Replacement:- BUILDING SYSTEMS Repairs plant equipment- ELECTRICAL Installs conduits and voltage motors; repairs / replaces fuses, lamps, breakers, switches (e.g., wiring controls, power circuits0; uses standard brand of limit, micro switches, starters, control devices- ELECTRONICS Installs / repairs / replaces / calibrates 4-20 milliamp sensor circuits; programs PLC- HYDRAULIC Replaces cylinders, valves, and pumps; performs preventative maintenance (e.g., 4-way / Vickers valves)- MECHANICS Replaces various shafts and bearings, filters, belts, chains, sprockets, and sheaves (using instruction manuals and parts lists); maintains / repairs processing equipment, building equipment, and refrigeration systems; sets mechanical functions on various tracking conveyors; assists in installation of new systems (including bearing)- PNEUMATIC Replaces air cylinders, valves, and pumps; performs PM- WELDING Prepares surfaces; selects correct welding rod; cuts / welds (metals, stainless steel, copper pipe, silver solder, soft solder joints)Inspection:- ELECTRICAL Inspects plant / OSHA-related items; generates work orders for repairs of loose connections- HYDRAULIC Monitors system pressures; compares to standards- MECHANICS Monitors various system temperatures and pressures; performs OSHA inspections for compliance on guards, cylinders, and unsafe conditions- PNEUMATIC Monitors system pressures; compares to standards; writes up repair / rebuild order- REFRIGERATION / HVAC Monitors system pressures and temperatures; compares to standards; inspects systems for leaks; monitors fluid levels including glycol levels proper ratiosSafety / Compliance:- Performs preventative maintenance- ELECTRICAL Applies proper lock-out / tag-out on all electrical equipmentTroubleshooting:- BUILDING SYSTEMS Uses forklift and pallet jack manuals to troubleshoot plant equipment; troubleshoots low temperatures / pressures in hot water systems, lost power; isolates problems- ELECTRICAL Troubleshoots all systems with / without schematics and photoelectric sensing equipment- ELECTRONICS Controls power or programming fault, Modicon / Allen-Bradley PLCs, and PID control devices- HYDRAULIC Troubleshoots hydraulic pump, receiver tank, and proper pressure settings- MECHANICS Identifies problems with gearboxes, pumps, valves, and other basic system components, including vacuum conveyor system- PNEUMATIC Troubleshoots systems- REFRIGERATION / HVAC Troubleshoots refrigeration systems (e.g., ammonia, glycol, freon);
