Responsibilities
The Space Management Team, known as Shelf Edge at H-E-B, coordinates with Merchandising, Pricing, and Advertising, and collaborates with Procurement, Forecast & Replenishment, suppliers, and brokers. Shelf Edge works closely with retail Store Operations to plan and execute all in-Store space management assortment / merchandising changes, price image, tags, and marketing programs. As a Floor Planning Project Advisor, you'll support Shelf Edge projects and floor planning processes.Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service. 'Partner-owned' means our most important resources--People--drive the innovation, growth, and success that make H-E-B The Greatest Omnichannel Retailing Company.Do you have a:HEART FOR PEOPLE... willingness to work as part of a team?HEAD FOR BUSINESS... ability to learn / understand floor planning-related fixtures and installation processes?PASSION FOR RESULTS... drive to achieve goals with minimal supervision?We are looking for:- a related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experienceWhat is the work?Management / Project Management:- Serves as main POC between third parties and H-E-B Floor Planning / Proj Mgmt team- Maintains integrity and accuracy of floor plans and AutoCADs for assigned projects- Manages third-party ongoing maintenance of assigned Store floor plan attributes (e.g., plan-o-gram placement for activity types, eComm location labels, Dept assignments, fixtures, square footage reports)- Works with onsite third-party support to manage workloads, timeline expectations; ensures processes are followed according to H-E-B guidelines for accurate outputs- Maintains / remedies floor planning discrepancies and reports with stakeholders- Creates / uploads workload folders; batches work to third party- Serves as main H-E-B POC on work requests, project intake, and resolution of third-party output issues; performs QC checks on floorplan and AutoCAD outputs of third party- Ensures completion of all assigned projects with third party- Assigns / schedules workloads with third-party team to meet business needs - Coordinates / schedules third-party training with H-E-B stakeholders as needed- Schedules / conducts monthly project status meetings with stakeholders, process owners- Creates / runs reports on project status; updates Sr PM on results- May attend merchandising walks and point of intersection meetings- May support multiple, simultaneous projectsWhat is your background?- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience- 3+ years of experience in merchandising- 3+ years of experience in retail store operations (preferred)- Experience working on teamsDo you have what it takes to be a fit as a Floor Planning Project Advisor at H-E-B?- Working knowledge of job-related software (e.g., Blue Yonder, AutoCAD)- Understanding of space and project management process steps and activities for NIPs, SEMs, POG issue forms, special projects, and corporate merchandising tactics and fixture requirements for all categories- Strong PC skills (including MS Office) and skills in Salesforce, JDA space / floor planning software, AutoCAD, and Revit- Strong analytical (financial data) skills- Strong organization, and time-management skills; attention to detail- Intermediate verbal / written communication, presentation skills- Intermediate interpersonal skills- Decision-making skills- Merchandising skills (or ability to learn)- Ability to work through complex issues- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects- Ability to work in a team environment- Ability to handle confidential information- Initiative; willingness to take calculated risksCan you...- Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment- Travel 25% of the time, by car or plane, with overnight stays- Work extended hours; sit for extended periods- Regularly lift up to 20 lbs11-2022
