General Notes
Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours. Travel is required.
Purpose
Cultivate positive and meaningful relationships with current and prospective student-athletes, their families and high school coaching networks, and assist in the oversight of player personnel operations through talent identification, recruiting strategies and roster management.
Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Head Coach, Coaching staff, personnel and scouting team, participate in identifying, evaluating, and ranking high school, junior college, and transfer portal prospects.
Analyze game film, athletic performance metrics and statistical data to assess potential prospects.
Stay up-to-date on NCAA recruiting regulations, ensuring all evaluation activities are compliant with institutional and NCAA guidelines. Provide training on departmental processes, NCAA regulations, and best practices for recruiting operations.
Assist in roster development by monitoring eligibility, managing scholarship distribution and aligning talent acquisition with team needs. Leverage data analytics to identify roster trends and future recruitment priorities.
Generate detailed reports and presentations to guide personnel, recruiting and coaching staff decisions.
Assist in the oversight, maintenance and optimization of recruiting databases, software tools, and internal records.
Help coordinate and execute key recruiting events, such as Junior Days, Signing Days, Pro Days, and official visits. Assist with organization of all official and unofficial visits with prospective student-athletes. Set up prospect meetings with staff and guide recruits throughout their visit.
Assist recruiting operations with the design and execution of on-campus recruiting experiences, including logistics, itineraries, and multimedia presentations. Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective student-athletes, their families and high school coaching networks.
Organize and track communication schedules for recruits, ensuring effective and timely communication.
Assist with organizing, strategic planning and execution of position coaches contact and evaluation period plan, ensuring effective and timely communication.
Supervise and mentor personnel interns and junior staff, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high standards of performance.
Assist with serving as a liaison with Athletics Academic Enrollment and Eligibility and Compliance departments for all needs and monitoring associated with recruitment of prospective student-athletes and transfers. Promote an atmosphere of compliance and ethics amongst recruiting and coaching staff.
Assist with the coordination and execution of all aspects of recruiting boards, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with key program staff and stakeholders.
Assist with updating the internal recruiting information database (ARMS).
Assist with managing the prospective student-athlete and transfer portal internal film library.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. Two years of experience in a collegiate football program and/or NFL level. Prior experience in scouting, football operations, or a related field. Professional demeanor and ability to project the image of the University of Texas and the Athletics Department with dignity and grace regardless of circumstances and environments. Demonstrated excellent organizational, attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills to enhance interaction with student-athletes, peers, alumni, administrative personnel, and the community. Demonstrated exceptional character traits in integrity and fairness. Demonstrated commitment to The University of Texas Intercollegiate Athletics Core Values: Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Community Engagement, Creativity, Accountability and Loyalty. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
