The Finance & Accounting Team has fiduciary responsibility for financial aspects of our end-to-end business, including all accounting and regulatory facets of Product, from 'Farm to Fork' ... Facilities, from 'Greenfield to Sunset' ... and Partners, from 'Recruit to Retire.' The team also oversees our Mexico Division's accounting, tax, and finance operations.As a Senior Technical Accounting Manager, you'll take the lead in documenting, monitoring, auditing, and implementing highly complex and diverse financial computer systems and networks. You'll develop technology to improve financial reporting, and research, analyze, recommend, and potentially implement new hardware / software packages. manages associated change- Leads the development of detailed requirements- Leads research and fact-finding efforts needed to develop or modify information systems of the highest complexity and risk, and most impactful to the business- Troubleshoots system issues of the highest complexity and risk, and most impactful to the business; works with software vendors as needed- Serves as business lead on projects, enhancements, and initiatives of the highest complexity and risk, and most impactful to the business- May provide work breakdown structures, cost, resource estimates, benefits analysis, and return on investment data- Identifies, defines, designs requirements into solution design; ensures successful implementation- Actively engages and collaborates with cross-functional / technical teams to ensure timely and quality solution delivery- Proactively communicates development status, issues, and concerns to management; recommends mitigation actions- Identifies major issues and trends in financial / operating reports; recognizes implications for the business- Applies understanding of work systems, processes, and organizational policies to problem-solving and decision-making; recognizes / coaches on integration and potential implications- Collaborates with IS to develop requirements; understands customers and their needs; translates needs to actionable solutions- Tests systems solutions; creates associated SOPs, training materials, and communications- Evaluates / may recommend against new systems and processesManagement / Project Management:- Works on the most complex projects, systems, processes (less targeted, broader-based, cross-functional)- Serves as subject matter expert in project scheduling, tools, and usage; represents F&A / makes decisions cross-functionally; delegates projects / tasks to appropriate stakeholders; considers stakeholder inputs- Monitors project schedules for compliance- Manages / leads communication and change management plans for intra- and inter-departmental delivery / facilitation and decision making- Formulates / recommends approved company-wide accounting practices and guidelines to ensure financial / operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information needed to control operations; continuously monitors software and systems for accuracy- Initiates internal controls, policy development, research, documentation, and compliance reporting; may prepare / file standard documents for government regulatory agencies- Develops metrics / measures that drive decisions and improvements- Evaluates current / proposed financial plans and policies; recommends changes that benefit H-E-B profitability- Understands / communicates how work activities impact other areas of the business, and the financial implications of decisions- Communicates with / presents to a wide variety of audiences at all levels;
