Operations/Advising:- Responsible for data collection and entry for surveys and compliance tracking (FLSA, employee classification).- Collaborates with HR, business leaders, and the compensation leadership team to recommend and implement solutions.- Communicates effectively with stakeholders, explaining policies, addressing questions, and facilitating understanding of pay-related matters.- Participates in compensation audits and recommends adjustments.- Participates in the design and implementation of short-term incentive plans.- Supports data collection and basic analysis for long-term incentive plans.Analytics:- Analyzes data, identifies insights, and recommends data-driven compensation decisions.- Creates and reviews complex reports with accuracy and attention to detail.- Contributes to strategy discussions, aligning compensation practices with broader organizational goals.- Navigates the HR system - creating job codes, updating job data, running reports/queries, and making updates in eComp.- Actively participates and may lead in the job pricing process through data collection and analysis by ensuring accurate and consistent job evaluations and pricing.Project Management:- Participates in the planning and implementation of compensation-based projects, such as annual compensation reviews, job family work & job evaluations.- Collaborates in the development and implementation of merit-based pay structures. - Leads one pay program from design to implementation, ensuring compliance and alignment with company policies.- Creates new job profiles and may conduct job evaluations/participate or may lead in job family work. Mentoring:- Provides informal guidance and mentorship to Analysts, sharing knowledge and experience in compensation.What is your background? - A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience. - 2+ years of experience managing and administering Compensation/HR-related processes.Do you have what it takes to be an H-E-B Compensation Advisor? - Proficiency in MS Office and software / applications (e.g., HCM) required by the job.- Advanced verbal / written communication and presentation skills.- Advanced interpersonal and consulting skills.- Strong analytical, project management, and organization skills; attention to detail.- Negotiating and influencing skills.- Ability to create dynamic tools and models to interpret / analyze data.- Ability to communicate confidential information in a professional manner.- Strong collaborative workstyle.Can you.. - Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment. - Travel by car or plane with overnight stays. - Work extended hours/ sit for extended periods.06-2024
