Job Summary:
The Millwork Field Support will deliver training content to millwork and retail employees.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Utilizes company training materials and methods to ensure consistency in employee education and knowledge related to the operations and products manufactured and sold by McCoy’s Millwork Division.
- Actively participates in all aspects of customer service, including providing technical support, to all millwork customers, including McCoy retail locations, Outside Commercial Sales Reps, and commercial contractors.
- Coordinates instructional programs with and through external providers.
- Works with and through McCoy’s Millwork Division to schedule and prioritize training activities in assigned locations in order to make the best use of available resources and support organizational objectives through thorough training at each of McCoy’s retail operations, as assigned.
- Seeks to establish effective working relationships with operations management of McCoy’s Millwork Division and supervisors in order to develop an effective partnership that supports employee development, growth and organizational success through the effective sales of millwork products at McCoy’s retail locations.
- Investigates customer problems or issues with deliveries, product quality, or service, as necessary.
- Maintains retail displays and literature as distributed by McCoy’s Millwork Division.
- Conducts training in Mac21 to help support McCoy’s Millwork Division.
- Monitors and reviews product movement & compares product movement with merchandise on hand to assist Millwork Inventory Buyer with maintaining an efficient product ordering system.
- Supports all company promotional activities with appropriate training, staffing, merchandising, or selling assistance.
- Assists in inventory, product development, pricing, and distribution decisions with McCoy’s Millwork Division management.
- Attends all millwork meetings and training sessions as required by management.
- Conducts skills and knowledge assessment activities as directed by management.
- Attends team meetings and company training sessions as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to utilize IBM Content Manager, MAC21, and other 3rd party software applications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Must meet driver’s license requirements as required by the company.
- Frequent travel with overnight stays.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of applicable experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds at times.
