Job Summary:
The Millwork Production Coordinator is responsible for maintaining log orders for production. Conducts audits on orders to maintain inventory data integrity. Maintains production calendar by assembly line. Sends stores notifications of order ETAs. Researches and maintains back-order tickets.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Compiles and reviews data from all orders and determines unit numbers for assembly lines.
- Logs unit numbers and dollars into the production calendar.
- Enters and tracks all product information into a computer to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Ensures appropriate millwork personnel are notified of any inventory irregularities and/or changes that will directly or indirectly affect the rate of production of the facility.
- Notifies stores of any changes to their orders also sends a notification via e-mail to stores informing them of ETAs of their orders.
- Attends team meetings and company training sessions as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Possesses a functional understanding of millwork door components, associated components assembly, and TDI (Texas Department of Insurance) door unit regulations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Thorough understanding of, or ability to quickly learn production equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to utilize IBM Content Manager, MAC21, and other 3rd party software applications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or week as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
Education/Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- General carpentry and millwork knowledge is required.
- Successful completion of on-the-job training.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
- Visual acuity is needed to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect products produced.
- The ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times, occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds, and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.
