Job Summary:
The Millwork Assembly Crew will assemble millwork products including doors and molding.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Follows detailed instructions to construct and build both stock and special order doors, including millwork trim for customers.
- Gathers and arranges necessary parts for products together in specified relationship to each other as instructed.
- Bolts, clips, screws, rivets, compounds, trims, saws, or otherwise fastens required parts together.
- Works on an assembly line where tasks and job duties may vary as different product lines are produced.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Attends team meetings and company training sessions as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Thorough understanding of, or ability to quickly learn production equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of, and ability to abide by, applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
- The ability to adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions.
- Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or week as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
Education/Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- General carpentry and millwork knowledge preferred.
- Successful completion of on-the-job training.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
- Visual acuity is needed to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect products produced.
- The ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times, occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds, and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.
