'Partner-owned' means our most important resources--People--drive the innovation, growth, and success that make H-E-B The Greatest Omnichannel Retailing Company.What is the work?Management / Quality Assurance Training:- Spends majority of the time using independent judgment making employment- and business-related decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions (e.g., product- / department-related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or otherwise engaging in resolving Partner-related matters)- Supports / models a safety and quality culture (e.g., expectations, education, awareness, discipline)- Defines / maintains staffing requirements- Onboards Partners formally on H-E-B culture, policies, and initiatives- Trains / develops Partners in line with QS 62-01 and the TWI Initiative- Set expectations, responsibilities, and accountabilities; observes behavior; provides feedback; follows up- Fosters teamwork and cooperation between departments- Trains Partners on QMS, EOQ, and division roadmap- Routinely meets with Partners to capture / address morale, performance, and critical workplace indicators- Identifies / mentors Partners for succession planning- Uses GAPs, KPIs, and IDP to develop talent and upgrade leadership division-wide- Maintains certifications / certifies Partners per QA standards- Develops / maintains peer relationships- Assists in driving Facility continuous improvement- Monitors compliance with internal practices and external policies, procedures, guidelines, and governance- Provides input on staffing levels; participates in sourcing and interviewing candidates- Identifies / develops team coordinators- Processes work injuries; leads root cause analyses (RCA)- Develops / and administers performance appraisals- Ensures appropriate awards and recognition- Supports / drives division initiatives in line with the division business plan and strategic roadmap- Leads quality discussions and decisions (e.g., MRB, dispositions) via use of quality tools and procedures- Uses quality tools to drive out cost by influencing facility leadership team- Prepares quality metric trends / reports to update Facility leadership- Uses RCA to investigate / report incidents, events, and customer complaints; provides appropriate corrective action in collaboration with Facility leadership- Oversees / maintains Quality Management System; uses approach deployment results to close compliance gaps- Establishes / maintains / improves food safety (HACCP) and quality plans in collaboration with Facility leadership- Leads Facility in auditing activities as an expert, auditor, escort, teacher, and advisor- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and product specifications- Serves as Facility SQF Practitioner- Models / fosters a service mentality; supports servicing internal and external customers when applicable- Supports all new launch / new process projects using applicable quality tools (e.g., FMEA)- Evaluates service level impact using risk assessment process- Ensures QA team executes first offline release protocols in an efficient, effective manner- Adequately controls quality-related expense and labor- Informs Plant leadership of opportunities to reduce shrink or other forms of waste- Provides input / assists with preparation and submission of capital requestsWhat is your background?- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience- External American Society of Quality certifications: CQA (Certified Quality Auditor) and CFSQA (Certified Food Safety Quality Auditor)- Successful completion of company-sponsored training and development classes; participation in leadership trainingDo you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B QA TL?- Working knowledge related to application of / compliance with industry regulations, EEOC, and employment laws- Strong interpersonal skills- Strong verbal / written communication and presentation skills- Strong critical thinking and numerical reasoning skills- Intermediate skills operating internal / external software and systems (e.g., databases, spreadsheets, statistical, QA)- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between / tasks; attention to detailCan you...- Travel by car or plane with overnight stays- Work extended hours and rotating schedules- Work in ambient temperatures ranging from -20F to 100+F; most often they are 65-85F08-2022
