What You Need to Know The Payroll Tax Analyst acts as a liaison between, Payroll, HRIS, 3rd party payroll / tax providers, ensuring accurate documentation of system functions, and providing high quality service when responding to inquiries. This position manages payroll tax submissions for the Company and performs quarterly and annual balancing of wage and tax reports as needed. The Payroll Tax Analyst stays current with payroll reporting and payments for tax compliance with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles, federal, state and IRS regulations. The position researches and interprets federal and state regulatory requirements for Workday, Dayforce and UKG.
- Reconcile payroll tax reporting after each pay run to ensure accurate deposits and filings by tax service provider
- Monitor and reconcile weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations with Dayforce and UKG
- Key player in year-end activities, and distribution of W-2's with HRIS Team and Printing Vendor
- Manages all payroll tax fall out - error reports with Dayforce and UKG in a timely to avoid amendments and adjustments
- M&A - for companies acquired, lead payroll tax setup in Workday for proper integration and forecasting with Finance. Work in conjunction with third party vendor for appropriate tax setup

QualificationsBe the Best Payroll Tax Analyst You Can Be
If you meet these qualifications, we want to meet you!
- 10 years of payroll tax experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong accounting experience
- Ability to communicate with outside agencies and various levels of the organization.
- Experience with reconciling and preparing year end and W2's, W2C.
- Stays up to date with payroll tax laws for both employee and employer.
- Strong understanding of Payroll Processes
- Workday, Dayforce (aka Ceridian Tax Service), UKG (UltiPro/Kronos) experience required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced in Excel (Vlookup, XLookup, Pivot Tables, Basic Formula's etc.)
- Strong project and process management skills
- Must be a tactical thinker, result oriented and a team player with sound business intelligence.
- Excellent problem solving and tax analysis skills.
- Excellent ability to draft, edit, and proofread internal and external correspondence, ensure files are organized, manage electronically in companies' network directory.
