Projects You’ll Impact
This role is for H-E-B health and wellness team. Our goal is to provide data product and analysis that will enable H-E-B Wellness business and analytics team the capability to monitor the efficiency of their operations, increase partner and patient satisfaction, and improve the quality of care for our Partners and fellow Texans.
- Wellness Analytics - Architect and develop analytical pipelines and capabilities of H-E-B Wellness, empowering the blending of our electronic health record with that of Salesforce and other solutions utilized by Wellness.
- Migrate into Cloud- Migrate existing data warehousing pipelines and patterns from existing ETL tools to a cloud approach using a data lake architecture with dynamic processing capacity. Use various new tools and technologies to implement the next generation of data analytical systems at H-E-B. Work with other data engineers on retooling, new standards, and new processes around data management/pipelines in AWS.
- Data Quality Monitoring and Alert-Build and improvise tools to track and report data anomalies and rule-based deviations.
Who You Are
- 2+ years of data engineering experience: The candidate should have at least two years of experience in data engineering.
- Strong understanding of SQL and data modeling: Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of data modeling is essential.
- Experienced with ETL data pipelines: The engineer should have experience in designing and developing ETL data pipelines using tools like Databricks, Informatica, Tibco, Kafka, Argo.
- Proficiency with various data technologies: Various databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Teradata, etc.), data structures, file formats, etc.
- Familiarity with relevant technologies: This includes Linux, AWS, GCP, Azure, Python, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- AWS working experience preferred.
- Experience with common software engineering tools: Proficiency with tools like Git, JIRA, and Confluence is necessary.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience may be considered.
- Fundamental understanding of computer science: Knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and data modeling is expected.
