The H-E-B Emerging Technology & Innovation (ETI) Team focuses on how we inspire and innovate with transformational change through discovering, learning, and recommending technologies that improve the lives of our customers and Partners.As an Innovation Manager II - Design Thinking and Innovation, you will be responsible for the development and design of seamless end-to-end experiences for both customers and employees using design thinking and innovation. This position requires close collaboration with multiple teams and serves as a liaison with various parts of the organization to create Innovation roadmaps. You will contribute at an increased strategic and enterprise-impacting level and lead efforts to identify, create, and deliver break- through emerging technology innovations and work across H-E-B vendor, digital, and business teams. What is the work?
Innovation Managers wear different hats and here are some of the core responsibilities:
- Collaborate with businesses to identify opportunities for innovation, using design thinking principles
- Act as a liaison between the Emerging Technology Team and other departments to gather insights, requirements, and feedback
- Maintain Innovation Portfolio and Roadmaps
- Conduct Innovation Coalition meetings with leaders (Senior Management) to prioritize Innovation themes.
- Help in conducting training or coaching sessions on design thinking
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand and document the current state and desired future state of H-E-B Partner and customer journeys
- Develop comprehensive end-to-end journey maps that highlight touchpoints, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
- Apply user-centric design principles to create intuitive and engaging experiences for both H-E-B Partners and customers
- Influences peers and senior management on strategic allocation of resources and project prioritization
- Creates / articulates ETI team goals- and objectives-related development processes
- Provides strategic input to develop short- and long-range business objectives related to specific, distinctive emerging technology and innovation goals
What is your background?- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or experience- 4+ years of experience in the industry (Retail or Supply Chain Preferred)- 3+ years of experience at a senior management level- Experience in businesses, technologies, and innovation-type initiatives / projects- Experience in incubation / execution of entrepreneurial ventures and orchestrated commercialization plans for breakthrough consumer solutions- Experience successfully conducting / executing ideation processes- Experience in emerging technology and innovation management- Experience successfully working strategic business issues with senior managementDo you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Innovation Manager II - Design Thinking and Innovation?
