H-E-B is a leading innovator in technology, and our Information Solutions Partners collaborate to design, construct, implement, and support technology solutions to help make us the Greatest Retailing Company.As a Senior Financial Analyst IS, you will administer the IS Department's financial functions, to include tracking and reporting on capital and expense spending, and executing procurement and expense payable activities.Do you have a:HEAD FOR BUSINESS... ability to evaluate and recommend funding changes on the financial performance of various projects?HEART FOR PEOPLE... skill to tailor financial info so Partners can understand and use it?PASSION FOR RESULTS... drive and knowledge to audit processes?We are looking for:- a related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience- 4 years of experience- interpersonal and communication skills?What is the work?Analytics / Financial Functions:- Executes various IS financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis- Reviews financial data and develops financial forecasts- Develops period, quarterly, and annual IS financial reports- Processes Capital Purchase Requests (CPRs); tracks spending against funding- Purchases hardware and software through online requests- Reviews purchase requests; coordinates risk assessment with appropriate Partners; tracks purchase orders- Reconciles invoices to ensure payment of processed invoices- Continually evaluates projects, financial performance and recommends funding changes as needed- Researches and resolves complex CIO and vendor ad-hoc requests- Conducts vendor license audits- Conducts internal financial and license compliance audits- Understands the IS business through financial numbersTraining:- Trains Partners in departmental proceduresPreferred Education and Experience- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience- 4 - 6 years of experiencePreferred Key Competencies- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal / written) skills- Excellent analytical and project management skillsPhysical and Other Requirements- Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment- Travel by car or airplane with overnight stays- Sit for an extended period of time- Work extended hours10-2016
