What you’ll achieve
As a Software Principal Engineer you will develop tools and software on the TNT team. Our team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications, and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.
You will:
- Solve business and customer issues utilizing AI/ML; design and build analytics solutions that deliver transformative insights from extremely large data sets; design, develop and implement web applications for self-service delivery of analytics; build prototypes and scalable AI/ML solutions that will be integrated into software products
- Design and develop APIs, database objects, machine learning algorithms and necessary server-side code to support applications
- Have complete ownership of model outcomes and drive continuous improvement
- Conduct brainstorming sessions with stakeholders and technical teams to understand needs and propose solutions
- Collaborate with the analytics team for the development of reports and dashboards

Essential Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in a related role or equivalent skill; must include deep knowledge of data science principles
- Strong coding skills in Python and SQL; machine Learning knowledge e.g. Deep learning, NLP, Classification, Forecasting, Regression, GenAI ; experienced in ML model deployment
- Ability to work with internal stakeholders to transfer business questions into quantitative problem statements
- Expertise in DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, and GitHub Actions for continuous integration and deployment
- Ability to effectively communicate data science progress to non-technical internal stakeholders
Desirable Requirements
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in quantitative field e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering
- Ability to lead a team of data scientists
Compensation: Dell is committed to Fair and Equitable compensation practices. The Base Salary Range for this role in is $161,500 to $209,000.
