We have a current openings for Junior Estimators, in the following locations:
The Junior Estimator will be an add to our Estimating Group, focusing on Commercial + Residential. As an essential part of the bidding process; they assist with cost estimates and resource requirements for electrical construction projects.
Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:
- Focus on the takeoff process for estimates/bids
- Assist with analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, etc., to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects
- Calculate various data quantity take-offs for data entry into computer estimating system
- Participate in preparing and organizing bid packages
- Assist with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) & Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Assist with "hand off" to project management team after project is awarded
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or other closely related field
- or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and/or related experience with an electrical contractor or similar
- 1-3 years of electrical/construction estimating, project assistant/management, or construction management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand construction documents
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
Salary Range:
$22.00/hour - $27.00/hour
- This is a non-exempt position
