Position Description
Qualify and cultivate current and prospective donors at the leadership annual giving level to identify donor interests and solicit meaningful gifts. Collaborate with Major Gift Officers to cultivate, solicit and steward prospects and donors while adhering to the prospect management system. Work is performed under moderate supervision with latitude for initiative.

About the Department and/or College
The Texas Tech University Office of Advancement connects with alumni and friends with the great things happening at Texas Tech University and working together to discover the impact they can have today and for generations to come. Our professional fundraising team members are responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding university supporters by having meaningful visits that move them through the donor cultivation cycle.
Major/Essential Functions
- Qualify, manage, and build relationships with a portfolio of leadership giving level prospects and donors whose philanthropic interests align with the University's strategic vision.
- Enhance pipeline development by creating and implementing a moves management strategy through discovery, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship for individuals within the portfolio assigned.
- Retain and increase giving from existing donors by soliciting the assigned portfolio of individuals that have a capacity to give at the leadership level of $500 - $5,000.
- Meet goals for key metrics including substantial contacts, visits, and solicitations as established each fiscal year.
- Develop relationships with TTU Office of Advancement colleagues to assist with donors that have specific interest in a college, school, or unit.
- Work collaboratively as a colleague within the TTU Office of Advancement and with colleagues across the university and system to focus on shared strategic goals.
- Adhere to and instill best practices to make effective use of the prospect management database, including but not limited to timely entry of contact reports after each visit to ensure donor records are kept up to date.
- Represent Texas Tech University and the TTU Office of Advancement at business and community meetings and events in a professional manner while adhering to TTU policies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A basic understanding of fundraising. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, writing and presentation skills. The ability to take initiative, excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus one year related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience equal to five years.

Pay Statement
