You'll promote continuity of care through your work with the physical therapy team, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of therapy plans and treatment protocols.Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service. Patient Care:- Works with a physical therapist on patient therapy plans and treatment protocols; provides feedback and recommendations for treatment plans- Implements / Administers physical therapy treatment plans as prescribed by a physical therapist- Obtains / studies medical histories; documents patient and clinic records- Interviews patients; understands patient medical history, assess physical health, and examines as needed- Educates / counsels patients; explains treatment plan; promotes physical health and wellness- Works as part of an integrated health team to provide / ensure continuity of care; develops / implements patient care management plans- Complies / ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, and infection control protocols and policies- Establishes / maintains collaborative, professional relationships with clinic staff- Obtains referring physician orders and outside facility images / reports as necessary- Ensures adherence to HIPAA regulations- Manages/Supports complex and urgent patient questions and issues. Refers only the most complex issues to the Practice ManagerWhat is your background?- Degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program- Experience working with electronic health records (preferred)- Current physical therapy assistant license issued by the Executive Council of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain- Current BLS certification by an approved American Heart Association organizationDo you have what it takes to be a fit as a Physical Therapy Assistant I?- Knowledge of medical terminology- Proficiency in MS Office and other related software / applications- Advanced interpersonal, customer service, and issue-resolution skills- Advanced written / verbal communication skills- Strong organization and follow-through skills; attention to detail- Bilingual skills (English - Spanish) a plus- Ability to work as part of a team- Ability to quickly learn new procedures / processes- Ability to manage multiple, constantly changing priorities and shift focus between tasks- Ability to apply good judgment and logic in performing duties and responding to customer needsCan you...- Function in a fast-paced clinic / office environment- Sit / stand for extended periods- Regularly lift up to 20 lbs- Maintain required continuing medical education12-2019
