Job Summary:
The intern will receive practical experience related to an academic field of study, with authentic experience in a job role while providing insight to a career path, its duties, and daily operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Attends and participates in department team meetings and training sessions as needed or requested.
- Observe, question, and support department employees working on active business functions and resolving issues.
- Perform research and present findings on any assigned department projects to management team members.
- May occasionally assist with minor daily operations, such as administrative functions or short-duration special assignments of the assigned department.
- Comply with company employment standards and policies.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must be for academic credit or required as part of a degree program.
- In general, interns must complete a minimum of 200 hours of work during the academic semester.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the company.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Current enrollment in a college or university.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds at times.
