Responsibilities
Job Summary: The Loss Prevention leadership team is the subject matter expert for training, assessing, and investigations. The key focus is to reduce shrink and increase profitability through training, assessments, and resolution of internal and external investigations.Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned- Executes and follows through on all Loss Prevention, security, and safety programs in order to reduce shrink- Develops and leads employee training and assessments to prevent merchandise loss- Develops staff through coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments, and establishing performance development plans- Builds and maintains positive working relationships with local political, educational, and law enforcement agencies- Educating Department Managers and Store Leadership on shrink awareness and reduction- Develops strategies to address shrink concerns and works to attack theft and fraud- Builds partnerships with Corporate and Regional Merchants, and Store Teams in order to impact shrink- Conducts physical security reviews to ensure safety and security - Makes recommendations for ways to prevent losses in the stores to Regional Loss Prevention Leadership- Identifies and conducts investigations on internal, external or Organized Retail Crime rings - Responsible for shrink and departmental budgetsPreferred Education and Experience- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience- 3+ years of experience- Supervisory experience in the security / loss prevention field a plus- Experience in Loss Prevention methodology and shrink initiatives- Multiple location management experience (preferred)- Nationally certified investigative and interviewing training (i.e. Wicklander, Reed)Preferred Key Competencies- Knowledge of theft investigation and interviewing- Proficiency in MS Office- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Strong organization, documentation, delegation, and planning skills- Strong interpersonal and communication skills- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments in a multi-store environment- Ability to work with highly confidential information- Ability to build strong partnerships with store, regional, and corporate partnersPhysical and Other Requirements- Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment- Travel by car or plane with overnight stays- Hand / finger dexterity- Work extended hours / sit for extended periods- Occasionally lift 20 lbs or more11-2015
