Minimum Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school,
- Current bar membership in good standing within the United States,
- Barred in Texas is preferred, may be required if specified to meet Grant Requirements,
- Minimum 2 years' experience practicing immigration law or unit equivalent work. Law school experience will be considered,
- Minimum 1 year experience supervising a team of attorney and/or legal assistants i.e. multiple legal staff members or varying job titles,
- Grant requirements may include bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency, and
- Able to pass a Federal Background Check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience incorporating the perspectives of multiple communities, including communities of color, in the consideration of impacts and outcomes of a decision-making process; and
- Experience in immigration and/or criminal law preferred.
