Tapcheck is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance department. We are looking for a proactive, self-starter who can work independently to achieve both individual and team goals. The Senior Accountant will help direct organization's accounting practices, support financial reporting and planning, as well as manage relationships with financial institutions and third-party vendors. This role offers a unique opportunity to help build and scale a function to drive lasting change in Tapcheck’s business.
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for managing daily accounting activities and the month-end close process with the ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Prepare journal entries (including but not limited to accruals, deferrals, prepaids, depreciation, reclasses, etc.) and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
- Contributes towards the preparation of the monthly internal financial statements
- Assist the A/R and A/P function with customer and vendor reporting and analysis
- Support payroll processing and reporting.
- Compile Ad Hoc reports and seek to find value in financial data
- Coordinate with the external auditors to execute interim/year-end FS audits
- Assists external tax consultants with financial and accounting requests
- Work cross functionally with all company departments as a strategic partner delivering financial data that drives operational success
- Assist with accounting processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls, identifying process improvements and efficiencies,
- Assist with our migration to ERP and become a knowledge master of ERP
What You’ll Bring:
- 4+ years of professional accounting experience, CPA preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting procedures and a thorough understanding of GAAP.
- Strong internal customer service skills and excellent oral and written communication
- Innate desire to achieve success and a work ethic to match, with a high level of integrity and judgement.
- Ability to critically think and problem solve with minimal direction
