About the Role
As a Go Senior Software Engineer on the NinjaOne team, you will contribute to our automated endpoint management product suite. Designing and implementing scalable new product solutions and improvements. Providing clean and optimized product code, you will work to develop new high quality software applications that exceed our customers’ expectations – seriously our customers love our products.

You will have the opportunity to design and develop high-availability mission critical software systems that support our worldwide operations.
Location - We are flexible on remote working from home, if you are located in the USA and reside in one of the following states - CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, *IL, KS, ME, MA, NJ, NC, OR, TX and VA. We have physical offices in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL, if you prefer a hybrid option.
We hire the best software engineers, but experience in our stack can’t hurt: NinjaOne is built on Java, Kotlin, C++, Golang and Postgres, supporting millions of user endpoints and running as a scalable cloud service in AWS. Knowing large-scale datastore bottlenecks, asynchronous application design and client-server architecture will help you.
What You’ll be Doing
Native Go Software Development – use your expertise to contribute to the development of native applications that will run on NinjaOne managed endpoints. Make quality an invariant part of your work and help your fellow engineers continue to meet our quality-first standards.
Committing Code and Shipping Products – you will be a senior trusted engineer committing code. Responsible for implementing design patterns and working on enterprise level software challenges, in a startup-like environment. Impact product hands on more than at other companies, building software that runs on millions and millions of endpoints.

About You
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
7+ years experience in native software development for product applications or equivalent. Expertise in native Go development will make you a standout candidate.
Working knowledge of the internals of our supported operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Focus and experience on optimizing native applications; for CPU, Memory, IO, and Network, that are performant and concurrent.
Ability to write applications that are highly portable to different architectures and operating systems
Ability to use Go to interact with the operating system through system calls, native APIs, messaging, etc.
Expert knowledge of quality testing practices.

*Due to operational policies, NinjaOne is unable to hire for this role within the city limits of Chicago. We will consider all qualified candidates who reside outside of the city proper or are willing to self-relocate.
Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage and PTO. For roles based in California or Colorado, the base salary hiring range for this position is $130,000 to $220,000 per year.
