- Completion of internal School of Retail Management (SORM) or equivalent training
- Leadership experience- Drive for financial resultsWhat is the work? Management:- Spends majority of time using independent judgment making employment-related and business decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions, including product- and department-related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or otherwise engaging in resolving Partner-related matters- Trains School of Retail Management (SORM) and School of Retail Leadership (SORL) trainees- Maintains communication with all Store Partners involved in department-related processes- Executes the corporately-driven merchandising plan on a daily basis- Prepares work schedules, orders product, controls inventory, monitors department budget and payroll- Regularly performs duties of all department PartnersSales / Analytics:- Achieves sales goals by preparing projections / forecasts, managing / reducing costs, and ensuring the accuracy of invoices.- Exhibits passion for product and customer service; drives customer engagement for department- Ensures in-stock conditions, wareroom / inventory control- Monitors department budget and payrollFood Safety / Sanitation:- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and H-E-B policy and standards for product food safety and sanitation- Maintains safety / sanitation of equipment and department; maintains sanitation standards throughout the work areaWhat is your background? - Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
- Completion of internal School of Retail Management (SORM) or equivalent training
- 3+ years of experience in retail management - Experience in leadership / management- Experience in ordering, inventory management / shrink control- Food Safety certificationDo you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Seafood Manager? - Knowledge of seafood / industry trends, processes, and SOPs- Advanced customer service skills- Interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills- Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel), and H-E-B systems- Ability to build, motivate, and maintain staff- Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks- No seafood allergiesCan you... - Function in a fast-paced, retail environment- Continuously stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, reach overhead, and side to side throughout shift- Regularly work in a cooler environment, and occasionally in an extreme cold environment- Safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts- Work extended hours and / or rotating schedules
