Job Summary:
The Training Specialist will provide first-tier support to employees and coordinate training activities by performing the following duties and responsibilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Track and upload completed training materials into employee documents in WorkDay™.
- Tracks training data and ensures accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of records.
- Unlocks/reassigns vendor-partner training courses and post-accident refresher pieces of training.
- May assist in the design and development of learning materials such as workbooks, manuals, and instructor guides.
- Prepares online instructional materials and visual aids.
- Manages training class notifications and setup including calendaring, contacting employees, printing materials, and managing offsite logistics.
- Updates management and supervisory course signoffs in WorkDay™ and produces ongoing reports to management.
- Monitors materials and supplies inventory for Training.
- Orders, prepares and mails materials as needed.
- Compiles reports related to training completion, participant lists, and session enrollment.
- Processes and pays invoices for expenses by adhering to company purchase card guidelines and procedures.
- Receives and processes incoming mail, answers phones, and responds to internal customer inquiries.
- Maintains corporate travel program consisting of internal webpage, internal communications and records.
- Coordinates new manager orientations including, but not limited to calendaring, contacting managers, and printing materials.
- Responds to basic and general questions from employees for the purpose of providing information or direction and/or facilitate employee communication with store management.
- Attends team meetings and company training sessions as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent and creative verbal and written communication skills, with strong graphic design ability.
- Thorough understanding of training processes.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with, or ability to quickly learn, HRIS/Learning system.
- Must have a current driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience in training.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds at times.
