The Department of Population Health at the Dell Medical School is looking for Project Manager.
This grant-funded position, through August 2028 and renewable based on funding and performance. Require strong program management skills to oversee milestones for the CONNECT project, which focuses on colorectal cancer screening across Texas. The Project Manager will work closely with senior staff, demonstrate leadership, and ensure timely achievement of grant goals. This role involves data collection, reporting, and supporting the statewide Steering Committee and core leads to ensure smooth project implementation.
Job functions include providing high level program managementand implementation of the colorectal cancer (CRC) screening coordinating center, developing and maintaining relationships with CRC screening stakeholder organizations (Stakeholder Network), create/oversee and maintain social media accounts, develop, coordinate and manage educational presentations, dissemination of resources and protocols to Stakeholder Network, provide administrative support for pilot funding programs, develop forms and tools for data collection and tracking, manage data collection and reporting, manage financial reporting and budgetary oversight, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take and send out meeting minutes, and create and maintain a centralized system for all resources, documents, and paperwork related to each core and component of the program.
Purpose
To manage and coordinate the Coordinating Center for Colorectal Cancer Screening across Texas (CONNECT) programand ensure all goals, objectives, and deliverables are met in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Project Management Day-to-Day Skills:Provide administrative coordination for all Center Core leads, CRC screening stakeholder organizations, and steering committee. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain minutes. Understanding, identifying activities to work towards, and tracking of all grant goals and objectives to ensure they are being met as outlined in the project timeline.Collect and maintain all study related program documents and for regulatory and reporting purposes.Prepare quarterly and annual reports for the funding agency. Manage financial reporting and budgetary oversight. Maintain ethics and compliance standards the protection of human subjects, institutional training and any additional training required by the institution or funding agency.
Stakeholder and Partner Engagement Skills:Develop and maintain relationships with CRC screening stakeholder organizations. Manage the dissemination of resources and protocols to Stakeholder Network. Create and disseminate a guide of resources, protocols, and evidence-based strategies for CRC screening. Develop and maintain a repositoryof CRC screening resources across the state.
Data Collection and Management Skills:Manage primary data collection, including developing and maintaining databases.Assist with development of surveys, forms, and tools for tracking data. Develop and submit Institutional Review Board application and related documents for all surveys. Administer surveys and manage survey data. Assist with post award management including preparation of progress and annual reports.
Health Education:Assist with developing education and training materials for communities and staff, and coordinate and conduct education and training sessions.
Communication and Organizational Skills:Develop and maintain social media accounts. Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and partners across the state. Facilitate communication across the Cores and deliverable workgroups to ensure collaborative progress towards overlapping goals and objectives. Create and maintain a centralized system for all resources, documents, and paperwork related to each core and component of the program.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree: Public Health, Health Promotion, Community Health, or related field. 5 years of cancer project management, community outreach engagement, and grant reporting experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Strong organizational skills. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree: Public Health, Health Promotion, Community Health, or related field. 2 years of public health management and/or cancer prevention research coordinator experience.Program procedure and protocol development experience. Working knowledge of data collection and organization. Experience engaging with clinics and health care systems. Proficient in basic computer skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment, andcoordinate with colleagues at varying organizational levels. Experience with human subjects regulatory requirements and IRB procedures
Salary Range
$72,000+ depending on qualifications
