Purpose
The position will support various initiatives and programs within Campus Operations, develop strategic and mandated reports, ensure data updates and integrity maintenance, and prepare presentations. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation and strategic planning of campus facilities and assets.
Responsibilities
Support Capital Asset Strategy (CAS) Initiatives and Programs: Organize, schedule, and maintain CAS initiatives. Assist with state, national, and federal reporting requirements, including those for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), UT System, Board of Regents, and other relevant bodies.
Design CIM and CAS Reports and Presentations: Create detailed reports and presentations for various stakeholders. Inform and document the requirements of assets and facilities across the UT Austin portfolio. Demonstrate trends and share data to communicate the utilization of University funding effectively.
Support Capital Investment Management (CIM) Program: Update databases and conduct assessments. Coordinate and document meetings related to the CIM program. Ensure accurate and timely updates to support capital investment decisions.
Collaborate on Strategic Initiatives: Partner with units across the Campus Operations portfolio. Contribute to various strategic initiatives with varying deliverables and deadlines. Foster collaboration and ensure alignment with overall campus goals.
Engage in Professional Development: Participate in relevant training, conferences, and other activities. Stay informed about current best practices and opportunities for capital asset strategies and investments. Continuously improve knowledge and skills to enhance job performance.
Represent the Department Professionally: Deliver high-quality and responsive customer service. Communicate effectively and professionally with all stakeholders. Uphold the department's reputation through professional conduct and interactions.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years in collecting, analyzing, synthesizing, and documenting program requirements.
- Ability to manage and prioritize shifting deadlines accordingly.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with university administrators, licensed design and construction professionals, and university community members.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or higher).
- Experience in capital asset management or related fields.
- Project management experience is highly valuable.
- Experience with understanding and satisfying reporting requirements for state, national, and federal bodies.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills for creating reports and presentations.
- Analytical skills to assess and update databases and support capital investment decisions.
- Collaboration skills to work with various units and stakeholders.
- Professionalism in delivering customer service and representing the department.
- Proficiency in software used for database management and report creation (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
Salary Range
$70,000 + depending on qualifications
