The Snell Collision Mechanical Technician is responsible for completing mechanical work and safety checks of all assigned vehicles for insurance purposes in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards.
- Check parts against estimate and ensure proper parts are ordered and received
- Complete mechanical and safety checks work required by Insurance companies and Snell Clients
- Possible body work: small bumper replacements, dash replacements, R & I of interiors on hail repairs and wind noise, water leak issues
- Notify management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time
- Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management
- Understand, keep abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
- Diagnose check engine and air bag problems
